Baking with toddlers is fun! (Kind of)
I’ve been promising to make muffins with Naia for at least a week now. I found a recipe I saved from my early motherhood days when I was pretending like I was going to be one of those healthy homemade mom types who make homemade jams and baked goods and granola for her kids. I envy those moms. I am not one of those moms. But I do have this super easy oatmeal applesauce muffin recipe and finally decided to make it with Naia. Which of course also meant doing it with Ellie because she’s a big girl now who refuses to be left out of anything. It’s adorable and inconvenient at the same time. So, we made muffins. With one girl on either side of me because they fight if they are too close to each other during activities. Naia quickly grabs all the “good” stuff and then Ellie realizes she missed out and grabs them back.

Cooking with toddlers looks like: Applesauce everywhere! I think I forgot one of the natural sweeteners! They taste like oatmeal textured sponges! I feel like super mom. Truly.
