This blog post is way overdue because in late September/early October, my best friend came to visit and it was GLORIOUS!! Ashleigh and I met freshman year at Tulane University when she was roommates with one of my other besties from college, Justine. We didn't cement our love until Junior semester abroad when we shared a tiny apartment in the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome with five other Tulane students. We drank so much wine and ate so much pizza and watched so many shows on DVDs on our laptops (Nip/Tuck anyone?) because it was pre-screening days. In fact, we didn't have internet in our apartment so we had to go to campus to do emails and browse the internet. Aaaahhh the good old days.
Anyway, we continued our friendship back in New Orleans at school and beyond when we both lived in the city for a few years. Eventually I moved away but we've remained close all these years. She was in Seattle visiting her BFF from high school and bopped down to Bend for a few days. It was her first time meeting Ellie and I think they were completely charmed by each other. Naia loved showing her all her best moves and toys and art. It was so fun.
